Women's Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision to AIC in Finale

Junior Juliana Pacini (Sao Paulo, Brazil) registered seven kills, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team was handed a 3-0 defeat by American International College on Saturday evening in the regular-season finale at Butova Gymnasium. Set scores were 25-18, 25-14, 25-15.

KEY MOMENTS
  • Southern New Hampshire trailed by only three late in the opening set when American Int'l notched five of the final six points to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
  • The Yellow Jackets jumped out to a 10-3 lead in the second stanza and cruised the rest of the way.
  • AIC led, 14-10, in the final frame when it used an 11-5 run to win the match.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Senior Grace Pierce (Fairfax, Va.) added three kills.
  • Freshman Carmen Bernardis (Trieste, Italy) posted three kills and four digs.

  • Southern New Hampshire had won four of its last five matches, while American Int'l extends its winning streak to a program-best 17 matches.
  • SNHU has clinched an NE10 postseason berth for the first time since the 2018 season and earned the No. 7 seed. AIC captures the NE10 Regular-Season Championship and the No. 1 seed for the conference tourney.
  • AIC has won 10 of the last 14 meetings with the Penmen, including five of the most recent six.
