Meg Knollmeyer (Hampton, N.H.) matched the program's nearly 43-year-old record with a career-high 26 rebounds, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team posted a 72-61 win against Georgian Court University on Saturday afternoon at the Stan Spirou Field House.

KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire trailed by a pair just over three minutes into the contest when it ripped off a 13-2 run to end the quarter and open up a 17-8 lead. Five different scorers carried the run, with senior Jenna Roche (Braintree, Mass.) and junior Ariana Koivisto (Pomfret, Conn.) leading the way with four points each.
- Georgian Court returned the favor in the second quarter, finishing the half with a 9-2 blitz that tied the game at 30-all going to the break.
- The Penmen held a two-point lead just past the midway point of the final frame when they scored 10 of the next 12, including four from Russell, to go up 66-56 with 54 seconds on the clock.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Graduate student Karlee Ziliak (Evansville, Ind.) tallied eight points (3-9 FG, 2-3 FT), five assists and two rebounds.
- Roche posted eight points (4-10 FG) and four boards.
- Koivisto chipped in six points (2-7 FG, 2-2 FT), two assists and two steals.
- SNHU outshot GCU, 43.5 percent (27-62) to 33.8 percent (24-71) from the field, as well as 81.8 percent (18-22) to 68.8 percent (11-16) from the stripe.
- Neither team shot it well from long distance, with the Lions going 2-for-15 (13.3%) and the Penmen going 0-for-11.
- The Penmen captured the glass (45-41), won the paint (50-45). turned in a better assist-to-turnover ratio (15/17-13/17), and scored more points off turnovers (20-17) and second chance points. The Lions scored more on the fast break (17-14).
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire is 3-1 for the second consecutive season.
- SNHU now leads the all-time series with Georgian Court, 3-1.
- Knollmeyer, who leads the league with 14.3 rebounds per game, matches the record of Ellen Raczka, who grabbed 26 rebounds on Jan. 18, 1979 against Notre Dame College. Her previous career high was set March 1, 2017 at Roberts Wesleyan College when she collected 23 rebounds as a member of the New York Institute of Technology.
- Russell is the only Penmen to have scored in double figures in all four games this season.

- The Penmen return to action Tuesday, Nov. 23 (5:30 p.m.) when they travel across town to take on Saint Anselm College in a game that will air live on WGIR 610-AM.
