KEY MOMENTS

  • Di Valerio would post four kills in the early part of the second set, as the Penmen went in front, 12-1, and later 15-2, to begin the stanza. A pair of kills from senior Grace Pierce (Fairfax, Va.) buoyed a set-ending 6-1 flurry that made it 2-0.
  • In the final frame, SNHU took advantage of six Pace errors and combined that with a pair of Pacini aces to move out to a 9-1 lead. It was 17-8 later in the set when two Wohlleber kills book-ended an 8-1 run that clinched the match.
