At Southern New Hampshire University, our top priority is the safety and well-being of the SNHU community and our guests. SNHU is focused on getting all students back to campus in the fall, and therefore the campus will remain closed to external guests for summer and fall 2021. This includes individuals or groups using our athletic and fitness facilities. If the conditions of the pandemic continue to improve, SNHU will begin allowing external guests to utilize SNHU facilities beginning in January 2022. 

Fans are allowed at all SNHU athletic venues at regular capacity, however, a face covering requirement will be in place. SNHU recently updated its COVID-19 policies and procedures due to the danger of the Delta variant, recent spikes in infection rates in much of the country, and concern for the health and safety of its employees and students. All outside guests, regardless of vaccinations status, are required to wear a face covering to help protect against the spread of the virus. This includes fans at both indoor and outdoor venues.
 

Q: Can I use the pool for open swim time?

A: Due to serious concerns with our HVAC system and accelerated corrosion of major structural components in the pool facility, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close the pool effective immediately.  

The current pool equipment has surpassed its expected lifecycle and will need significant investment to maintain the quality and structural integrity of the facility. Investing time and money does not align with  our goal of running a fiscally responsible, learner-centric campus, as only 1% of the SNHU student body uses the pool facility.   

Over the years, we have enjoyed opening this facility to our students, faculty, staff, and other community groups. While this is not an easy decision, we are also grateful for the many years SNHU was able to play a role in the swimming community in New Hampshire. Q: Can I use other areas of the facility, such as the Fitness Center or gymnasium?

A: No. The facility is closed to external guests until January 2022.

Q: What about the membership I paid for? Can I receive a refund?

A: We have issued refunds to everyone that has requested one. IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR REFUND AND YOU FEEL YOU ARE DUE ONE, PLEASE E-MAIL ATHLETICS@SNHU.EDU.

Q: Can I still bring a guest into the facility?

A: No. The facility is closed to all external guests until January 2022.
