Graduate student Michael Goncalves (Ludlow, Mass.) scored three times Wednesday night to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team to a 5-1 triumph over Assumption University at Penmen Stadium.

- Reiter snapped a scoreless tie midway through the 36th minute, with Betar doubling the Southern New Hampshire lead to 2-0 just nine seconds before halftime.
- It was all Goncalves from there, scoring in the 52nd, 59th and 71st minutes to ice the victory.

- Senior goalkeeper Jackson Rivers (Epping, N.H.) made a pair of saves for SNHU.
- Junior Michael Garcia (New Bedford, Mass.) and grad student Jaime Selva (Alicante, Spain) each collected an assist.
- George Dixon IV started in goal for Assumption and stopped six of the 11 shots he faced over the opening 70:42. Tony Abdulky turned aside the only shot he saw in the final 19:18.
- The Penmen outshot the Greyhounds, 20-5, including 12-3 in shots on target, and also doubled up the visitors in corner kicks, 6-3.

- SNHU leads the all-time series with Assumption, 21-2-4, and is unbeaten in 13 of the last 14 versus the Greyhounds.
- The five goals for the Penmen were the most since a 5-2 win at Stonehill College on Nov. 6, 2019 and were the most at Penmen Stadium since a 6-0 blanking of the University of New Haven on Nov. 9, 2018.
- This marked the first multi-goal game of Goncalves' career.
