Casagrande Ties for Ninth at Franklin Pierce Fall Invite

Senior Anna Casagrande (Pelham, Mass.) shot an 80 for the second straight day, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team wrapped up the Franklin Pierce University Fall Invitational on Monday afternoon at Keene Country Club.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
  • Casagrande tied for ninth with a 160, after also carding an 80 in the opening round.
  • Junior Gabby Thomas (Johnstown, Ohio) improved upon Monday's round by one shot with an 82 and tied for 12th with a two-round total of 165.
NOTES
  • Franklin Pierce's Kesinee Prukmathakul claimed individual medalist honors with a 3-over 147.
  • While the Penmen were not competing as a team, Franklin Pierce won the event with a 609, which was 50 shots better than the field.
  • The FPU Fall Invitational was made up of 36 golfers from six different institutions.
WHAT'S NEXT
  • The Penmen wrap up the fall season at the NE10 Championship, which it will host at Beaver Meadow Country Club in Concord, N.H., Oct. 9-10.
