ROME, Ga. – Senior Magdalena Hubickova (Prague, Czech Republic) and graduate student Alexxa Etienne (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team lost in the opening round of the ITA Cup at the Rome Tennis Center on Thursday.
Hubickova and Etienne, who qualified for the ITA Cup after winning the ITA East Regional doubles title, dropped a 6-1, 6-2 decision to top-ranked Fatima Bizhukova and Natalie Espinal of Nova Southeastern University.
Hubickova, Etienne and the Penmen wrap up the regular season by playing host to Bentley University at the Ouellette Stadium Tennis Courts on Saturday, Oct. 15 (1 p.m.).
