Junior Nicolas Gonzalez (Santander, Spain) scored his first goal of the season in the seventh minute to help the Penmen to jump out to an early lead, but Assumption quickly responded with a goal of their own less than 90 seconds later. The Greyhounds didn't look back after taking a 2-1 lead going into halftime and scoring again in the 74th minute. They would go on to win 3-2 at Brian Kelly Stadium in Worcester on Wednesday night.

KEY MOMENTS

The Penmen jumped out to an early lead on the Gonzalez goal at the 7:22 mark assisted by senior Gabe Pinhancos (No. Attleboro, Mass.).

Assumption quickly answered with a goal less than 90 seconds later when Johannes Sundgot scored off a hand-ball free kick at the 8:49 mark.

Assumption jumped ahead with a 2-1 lead with nine minutes left in the first half after Joey Bianco placed one into the high corner of the goal off of a corner kick from Sam Cardoza.

Assumption would score off of another free kick opportunity in the 74th minute. SNHU goalkeeper Preston Neal blocked the first shot, but Gustaf Vilgot Albert was able to find the high left goal post to stretch the lead to 3-1.

Shubitidze answered for SNHU by scoring an unassisted goal to bring the Penmen within one at the 77th minute, but the Penmen were not able to complete the comeback.
