Men's Soccer Back in Win Column with 2-1 Victory vs. Bentley

Two second-half goals less than a minute apart lead the way

Junior Luca Shubitidze (Leipzig, Germany) and freshman Iago Perez (Oleiros, Spain) scored 57 seconds apart in the second half to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team to a 2-1 triumph over Bentley University on Saturday afternoon at Ouellette Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS
  • After a scoreless first half, the Penmen needed just 6:13 of play in the second stanza to break the ice, with Shubitidze burying a free kick to make it 1-0.
  • SNHU doubled its lead just 57 seconds later when Selva found Perez for a goal that made it 2-0.
  • Bentley would make it interesting with a Johann Fraser goal with 8:01 remaining, but the Falcons would never seriously threaten again.
