SNHU rallied from nine points down in the final 1:31 of regulation, but Dominican hit a three to force overtime, and eventually wore down the Penmen 88-84 in a thriller on Saturday night in a game played at Saint Anselm College.

KEY MOMENTS
- Dominican held the lead most of the first quarter, and finished the high-scoring frame up 23-20 by hitting 11-of-22 field goals.
- SNHU could not get past the Chargers in the second quarter, closing to within three on a trey by Timberlake, but Dominican then ran off nine straight points and led 45-33 at the break.
- The Penmen finished the third quarter with six consecutive points on field goals by Knight, Timberlake and Koivisto.
- The Chargers seemed in control, leading 73-64 with 1:31 to play, only to have the Penmen rally. Timberlake hit a pair of field goals, Knight added two free throws, and a field goal by junior Julia Colby (S. Parris, Me.) made it 73-72 with 47 seconds left.
- A pair of missed free throws by Dominican, and a Koivisto bucket made it 74-73 in favor of SNHU, and Timberlake hit two free throws with four seconds left after a turnover.
- A buzzer-beating three by Kristen Teklits forced overtime at 76-76.
- Knight hit a field goal with 31 seconds left in overtime, but Dominican hit two free throws to finish off the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Knight scored a career-high for the second consecutive contest. She had 20 in the win over Saint Anselm on Friday night.Â
- Colby played 23 minutes hitting two field goals, pulling down three rebounds, and dishing out two assists.
- Dominican outshot SNHU, 43.0 percent (37-86) to 42.7 percent (32-75).
- SNHU hit 16.7 percent (2-12) from downtown, but missed all seven after halftime. The Chargers hit 21.7 percent (5-23).
- SNHU won the glass (50-44). Dominican had a 23-12 advantage on points off turnovers. Â
NOTES
- The only other meetings between the teams came November 10, 2018 at the Stan Spirou Field House with SNHU prevailing 77-62 in the NE10/CACC Challenge.
WHAT'S NEXT
- The Penmen will open the NE10 season with a game next Saturday at Southern Connecticut State University (1:30 p.m.)
