KEY MOMENTS

  • The second half remained tight, with each team matching its game-high, five-point lead. The Penmen were in front, 62-57, with less than 30 seconds left when a Post layup made it a one-possession game. Following an SNHU turnover, another Post bucket brought the Eagles to within one with 15 ticks remaining. The Penmen then missed the front end of a 1-and-1 with 10 seconds to go, but Post would never get a potential game-winning shot off.

  • Sophomore Evan Guillory (Springfield, Mo.) tallied eight points (2-8 FG, 4-9 FT) and four rebounds.
  • Sophomore Derrick Grant (Plainfield, N.J.) posted three points (1-3 FG, 1-7 FT) and four boards.
  • Post outshot SNHU, 42.9 percent (24-56) to 39.6 percent (21-53), including 40.9 percent (9-22) to 40 percent (8-20) from beyond the arc.
  • The Penmen were plus-8 from the line, but the Eagles shot it better, 80 percent (4-5) to 46.2 percent (12-26).
  • SNHU captured the glass (38-35), scored more points off turnovers (18-8) and netted more second chance points (13-7). Post won the paint (24-18) and turned in a slightly better assist-to-turnover ratio (14/12-11/10).
