Female Athlete of the Week: Ashley Corcoran - Women's Cross Country - Gr.
Ashley Corcoran (E. Longmeadow, Mass.) led women's cross country to its first NE10 Championship in program history, as she won the race at Saint Michael's College in 21:27.7, the third fastest 6k in program history. Corcoran, who now owns the top four marks at the distance, earned NE10 All-Conference First Team honors for the performance.
Male Athlete of the Week: Derek Flynn - Men's Ice Hockey - Jr., D
Derek Flynn (Dracut, Mass.) broke a 1-1 tie with his first career goal at 6:33 of the third period, as men's ice hockey notched its first win of the season Saturday, edging Saint Michael's College, 2-1.

- Women's soccer was idle last week and earned its fifth straight NCAA Championship berth Monday night. The seventh-seeded Penmen will take on second-seeded and 14th-ranked Franklin Pierce, which is one of two hosts for the East Regional, on Friday (Nov. 11) at 4 p.m.

- Men's soccer went 0-1-0 last week, suffering a 7-1 defeat at top-seeded Franklin Pierce University in the semifinal round of the NE10 Championship. The Penmen did not receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship on Monday night and see their season come to a close.
- Junior Luca Shubitidze (Leipzig, Germany) scored to knot the game in the 16th minute off an assist from freshman Philipp Hermann (Bruckmuehl, Germany).
- Sophomore Preston Neal (Windham, N.H.) allowed six goals over the opening 58:37 of action, while junior Christian da Cruz (Ludlow, Mass.) stopped one of two shots he faced in the final 31:23 for the only Penmen save.

- Volleyball went 2-0 last week with a pair of three-set wins against Le Moyne College on Friday and the College of Saint Rose on Saturday. The wins clinched the Penmen the No. 4 seed in the NE10 Championship and their first NE10 postseason home contest ever.
- SNHU, which has won nine of its last 11, including four of five and three straight, has reached 15 or more wins in a season for just the fifth time in program history and the first since 2014 when it finished 17-11.
- Redshirt-junior Ana Pimenta (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) posted 20 kills (3.33 k/s), two aces (0.33 sa/s), 15 digs (2.50 d/s) and three blocks (0.50 b/s). Pimenta led the way in against Le Moyne with 15 kills on .290 hitting, an ace, seven digs and three blocks, before adding five kills, and ace and eight digs versus Saint Rose.
- Sophomore Carmen Bernardis (Trieste, Italy) recorded 20 kills (3.33 k/s) on .313 hitting, to go with seven blocks. She notched 10 kills on .400 hitting with two blocks Friday and added another 10 kills with five blocks Saturday.
- Graduate student Sara Montefameglio (Turin, Italy) tallied 70 assists (11.67 a/s), three aces (0.50 sa/s) and 21 digs (3.50 d/s), en route to being named the NE10 Setter of the Week earlier Monday. Montefameglio posted 39 assists, one ace, two blocks and nine digs against the Dolphins, before recording 31 assists, two aces and 12 digs in the win over the Golden Knights.
- Sophomore Deanne Wilson (Buffalo, N.Y.) totaled 29 digs (4.83 d/s) and two aces (0.33 sa/s). Wilson tallied 15 digs and a pair of aces against Le Moyne and collected 14 digs versus Saint Rose.

- It was a tough week for the Penmen, dropping a pair of double-overtime contests to teams ahead of them in the standings.Â
- On Wednesday night in Worcester, SNHU lost to sixth-ranked Assumption University, 3-2. Sophomores
Annemartine Christis ('s-Hertgoenbosch, Netherlands) and
Eliza Bates (Newport, N.H.) scored goals.
- On Saturday, the Penmen fell, 4-3, to St. Thomas Aquinas College. Freshman
Anne Wiersma (Velhoven, Netherlands) scored twice and Christis assisted on all three Penmen goals. Freshman
Brianna Frisbee (Claremont, N.H.) also scored an had an assist.

Emma Peeters (Wageningen, The Netherlands) made three saves against Assumption and then tallied up four over the final 60:36 of action versus STAC. Junior goalkeeperÂ
Nichole Roberts (So. Berwick, Maine) started and stopped two of the four shots she faced in the opening quarter.
- With one week remaining in the regular season, the Penmen sit tied for eighth place with Mercy College. The top eight teams will advance to the Northeast-10 Championship.Â

- Cross country competed at the NE10 Championships on Sunday at Saint Michael's College.
- The SNHU women won the NE10 Championship for the first time in program history. Graduate student Ashley Corcoran won the race in 21:27.7, the third fastest 6k in program history. She owns the top four marks at the distance. Corcoran is joined on the NE10 All-Conference First Team by junior Kelsey Seamans (Methuen, Mass.) and junior Hannah Bradbury (Seekonk, Mass.). Seamans finished fourth at 22:45.3 and Bradbury ran a personal best 23:11.2 while finishing seventh overall. Junior Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.) finished ninth to earn Second Team All-Conference. Senior Sarah Zarakotas (Deerfield, N.H.) was 18th and graduate student Rose Pitman (Sherill, N.Y.) wound up 20th. Both made Third Team All-Conference.
- The SNHU men improved from seventh last year – to fourth place this year. Graduate student Jacob Logan finished in third place in 25:03.1 to earn First Team All-Conference. Freshman Dillon Labonte (Lee, N.H.) was ninth (25:52.5) and sophomore Carter Sylvester (Northwood, N.H.) finished 13th (26:03.3 - new personal mark), with both earning Second Team All-Conference.

- Men's basketball played its second of two Division I tuneups Tuesday, battling hard in the second half before dropping a 72-58 decision to Syracuse University, 82-41. The Penmen trailed by as many 24 before trimming their deficit to 10 late. SNHU officially tips off its season Saturday (3 p.m.) at the University of Bridgeport.
- Sophomore Ethan Okwuosa (No. Haven, Conn.) netted 12 points (4-12 FG,1-3 3-FG, 3-4 FT), to go with a pair of rebounds and a pair of steals.
- Junior Matt Becht (Vienna, Va.) tallied 10 points (4-12 FG, 2-9 3-FG), four rebounds, two assists.
- Junior Noah Kamba (Lynn, Mass.) also scored 10 points (3-9 FG, 1-6 3-FG, 3-4 FT), grabbed five rebounds and collected a pair of steals.

Notes:
- Men's ice hockey split a pair of games at Saint Michael's College on Friday and Saturday, losing the opener, 7-2, before responding with a 2-1 win in the second game.
- Graduate student Dominic DiMambro (Troy, Mich.) and senior George Thurston (Plymouth, Mass.) scored goals Friday. DiMambro had a puck deflect off his skate in front of the net for his first goal of the season, and third of his career. Thurston added a power-play goal in the third period to give him two goals this season.
- The Penmen bounced back with their first win of the season, as they peppered the Saint Michael's goalie with 59 shots. Two found the net, with junior Derek Flynn (Dracut, Mass.) breaking the 1-1 tie with his first career goal. Sophomore Ryan Clear (Cherry Hill, N.J.) had tied the game with a second period power-play marker. Graduate student Adam Mercer (Belchertown, Mass.) made 26 saves in the win.
