(Manchester, N.H.) - SNHU turned back Goldey-Beacom 68-62 in a non-conference contest Saturday afternoon at the Stan Spirou Field House. Sophomore
Jordan Brathwaite (Silver Spring, Md.) led the way with 19 points and seven rebounds.

- Sophomore Ethan Okwuosa (No. Haven, Conn.) -12 points (5-14 FG), 9 rebounds, 4 assists
- Sophomore Evan Guillory (Springfield, Mo.) – 9 points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3-FG), 6 rebounds
KEY MOMENTS
- Brathwaite scored the first eight points of the game, including of pair of treys, forcing the Lightning into a time out just 2:38 into the game.
- A layup by Okwuosa put SNHU up 27-14, the largest lead they would have in the first half.
- Goldey-Beacom closed the first half on a 19-2 run to lead 33-29 at the intermission.
- After the Lightning extended the lead to 36-29, SNHU responded with 17 consecutive points for a 46-29 lead. The Penmen made five consecutive three pointers during the run, three by Brathwaite, and one each for Becht and Okwuosa.
- Goldey-Beacom cut a 15-point lead down to five in the closing moments, but missed on a couple of late three-pointers.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Penmen finished 26-for-68 (38.2 %) for the game, including 14-for-39 (35.9 %) on three-pointers. Goldey-Beacom went 23-for-57 (40.4%) and 7-for-20 (35.0 %) from three.
- SNHU only went to the line five times (made two) – and three of those attempts came in the final 37 seconds. The Lightning were 9-for-15 from the line.
- The Penmen pulled down 10 offensive rebounds which led to 10 second-chance points. SNHU had a 42-39 rebounding edge for the game.
- The Penmen were outscored 26-20 in the paint, but had a 16-10 advantage on points off turnovers.
- Brathwaite's five three-pointers were a new career high – he was two points shy of his career best of 21.
- Becht has hit 34-of-64 (53.1%) three-pointers for the season, ranking second in the NE10.
NOTES
- This was just the third all-time meeting between the programs. The Penmen have won all three contests.

- SNHU will return to the Stan Spirou Field House on Saturday (Dec. 31) at 3:30 p.m. to play Assumption University in a Northeast-10 contest.
