Senior Adriana Timberlake (Braintree, Mass.) and sophomore Jess Knight (Hanover, Mass.) scored 23 points apiece as Southern New Hampshire won at Pace University 77-66 Saturday afternoon.

  • Knight - 23 points (8-11 FG, 7-8 FT), 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block
  • Senior Jenna Roche (Braintree, Mass.) – 10 points (3-8 FG, 4-5 FT), 8 rebounds 6 assists
  • Senior Ariana Koivisto (Pomfret, Conn.) – 7 points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3-FG, 2-2 FT), 6 rebounds
 
KEY MOMENTS
  • Southern New Hampshire shot 7-for-15 in the first quarter and hit 6-of-9 free throws to take a 22-12 lead after the first quarter.  A fastbreak basket by freshman Meghan Gordon (Attleboro, Mass.) came on the quarter's final play.
  • The Penmen maintained the lead through the second quarter, taking a 36-26 lead at halftime.
  • Both teams shot over 50% in the third quarter as SNHU opened a 60-46 lead.  The Penmen maintained the double-digit lead through the remainder of the contest.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Knight recorded her second consecutive double-double, and fourth on the season.
  • The Penmen outshot the Setters, 26-54 (48.1%) to 24-62 (38.7 %) from the floor and from three, 5-12 (41.7%) to 6-20 (30.0 %).
  • SNHU had a 41-31 advantage on the boards with both teams recording seven offensive rebounds. 
  • The Penmen had a 36-28 scoring advantage in the paint and a 20-13 edge on points off turnovers.
  • Southern New Hampshire scored the game's first five points and never trailed.
NOTES
  • SNHU snapped a three-game losing streak to Pace, improving to 10-21 all-time against the Setters.
  • The teams will play meet again in conference play on January 28 at the Stan Spirou Field House.

  • The Penmen will play at The College of Saint Rose in Albany on Tuesday (Dec. 6) at 5:30 p.m.
  • SNHU will return to the Stan Spirou Field House on Friday (Dec. 9 ) at 5:30 p.m. to play Post University.
