Adriana Timberlake (Braintree, Mass.) scored a team-high 15 points as SNHU won for the fourth time in five games, 62-50, at the University of New Haven on Thursday. The Penmen improved to 10-4 in the Northeast-10.

KEY MOMENTS
- Timberlake helped set the stage for a strong start with a three-pointer, a defensive rebound, and a driving lay-up for a 5-0 lead.
- Five consecutive points by New Haven's Briana Van Cleaf gave the Chargers its largest lead of the night at 13-9 with 3:52 left in the first quarter.
- Treys by Timberlake and graduate student Gyanna Russell (E. Hampton, Conn.), and strong defense, rallied the Penmen to a 15-13 lead heading to the second period.
- SNHU would outscore New Haven 34-18 over the middle two quarters as the lead grew to 18 points.
- The Penmen did turn the ball over nine times in the fourth quarter, but held off the Chargers with 7-of-8 free throw shooting in the period.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Penmen hit 8-of-20 three-point field goals (40%) and 10-of-14 free throws (71%).
- SNHU shot 25-for-52 (42%) to New Haven's 19-for-58 (33%).
- The Penmen had a 39-35 advantage in rebounds, but turned the ball over 24 times to 20 for the Chargers.
NOTES
- Bentley (11-3 NE10) beat Saint Michael's to keep a one-game lead over SNHU (10-4 NE10) in the Northeast Division. The teams meet Saturday in Waltham, Mass.
- SNHU has won three-of-four from New Haven. The Chargers lead the all-time series 37-23.
- It was the 12th double-double of the season for Knollmeyer.
- Chapps hit a pair of three-points for only the second time in her career. Her eight points was a season-high.
WHAT'S NEXT
- The Penmen play the second of four consecutive road games on Saturday, February 12 at Bentley (1:30 p.m.).
- SNHU's final regular season home game is Saturday, February 19 (1:30 p.m.) when they play host to Stonehill College at the Stan Spirou Field House. SNHU will honor its seniors and the Penmen will pay tribute to the late Ernie Greenberg, the longtime public address announcer.
- Fans attending will be required to a face mask, regardless of vaccination status. The concession stand will be closed.
