(Rindge, N.H.) - Four Penmen scored in double figures, led by junior Adriana Timberlake (Braintree, Mass.) with 20 points, as SNHU completed a four-game road swing with a fourth straight win, 87-73 at Franklin Pierce Thursday.

  • Timberlake -20 points (8-11 FG, 4-6 3-PT, 2-2 FT),7 assists, 3 rebounds
  • Graduate student Karlee Ziliak (Evansville, Ind.) -14 points (6-9 FG, 2-2 FT), 3 assists, 2 rebounds
  • Sophomore Jessica Knight (Hanover, Mass.) - 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 FT), 7 rebounds, 2 blocks
  • Senior Jenna Roche (Braintree, Mass.) - 11 points (3-9 FG, 1-3 3-PT, 4-4 FT), 7 rebounds, 5 assists
KEY MOMENTS
  • The Penmen put this game away early, scoring the first 22 points, and building a 40-10 lead early in the second quarter.
  • SNHU had a nearly perfect shooting first quarter when they scored 34 points (11-14 FG, 3-3 3-PT, 9-9 FT).  Timberlake scored 10 of her career 20 points in the first ten minutes.
  • Franklin Pierce outscored the Penmen 44-38 in the second half, but SNHU maintained a double-digit lead throughout.

  • Timberlake wound up as the leading scorer for SNHU for the third time in four games.

  • SNHU (13-4) leads Bentley (12-5) in the NE10's Northeast Division.  The Penmen own the tie-breaker with the Falcons with a regular-season sweep.
  • The Penmen complete a season-sweep of Franklin Pierce.  The Ravens lead the all-time series 59-34.
  • Knight matched a career-best with 14 points, the third time she has hit that mark this season.  
WHAT'S NEXT
  • SNHU's final regular season home game is Saturday, February 19 (1:30 p.m.) when they play host to Stonehill College at the Stan Spirou Field House. SNHU will honor its seniors and the Penmen will pay tribute to the late Ernie Greenberg, the longtime public address announcer.
  • Fans attending will be required to a face mask, regardless of vaccination status. The concession stand will be closed.
