Sophomore Isnaba Namussé (Fogo, Cape Verde) headed home a corner service in the 62nd minute, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team posted a 1-0 season-opening victory against Georgian Court University on Thursday evening at Penmen Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS
  • Namussè snapped the scoreless deadlock 16:43 into the second half when he tracked down Shubitidze's corner service and sent a header into the top-right corner of the net.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Rivers stopped both shots he faced for his sixth career clean sheet.
  • Georgian Court 'keeper Sotirios Gkosids turned away eight of the nine Penmen bids that came his way.
  • The Penmen outshot the Lions, 20-11, including 13-5 in the second stanza.
  • SNHU also doubled up GCU in corner kicks. 8-4.
