Three First-Half Goals Carry Penmen to Victory

The Penmen scored three first half goals and graduate student goalkeeper Jackson Rivers (Epping, N.H.) stopped all eight shots he faced to secure a 3-0 victory for the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team over Queens College on Saturday afternoon at Penmen Stadium. Junior Luca Shubitidze (Leipzig, Germany) led the way with a goal and an assist for SNHU.

KEY MOMENTS
  • Betar put SNHU up 1-0 with his first goal of the season off an assist from Shubitidze 25:19 into the match.
  • Shubitidze logged an unassisted tally, also his first of the season, to make it 2-0 at 34:01.
  • Garcia scored his first goal of the season after a pass from Selva to give the Penmen a 3-0 advantage with 6:48 left in the first half.

  • Rivers stopped all eight shots he faced for his seventh career clean sheet.
  • Queens 'keeper Dario Cruz made three saves in all 90 minutes in goal.
