Female Athlete of the Week: Jordan Butters - Women's Soccer - Sr., F
Jordan Butters (Beverly, Mass.) registered four points on a goal and two assists during a 2-0-0 week for the Penmen. Butters assisted on a back-breaker of a goal that made it 2-0 just 30 seconds before halftime in an eventual 3-0 win over Daemen University on Wednesday, and then notched a goal and a helper in Saturday's 3-1 victory against Assumption University. Butters opened the scoring with a goal in the 38th minute and then helped set up the strike that all but sealed it in the 81st minute.
Male Athlete of the Week: Matt Conti - Men's Golf - Sr.
Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) averaged 69.3 over three rounds last week, which including 36 holes to earn individual medalist honors at the Granite State Opener at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord, N.H., on Monday. Conti, who fired a 6-under 66 in the second round, won by one shot with a 6-under 138. Conti then carded an even-par 70 Sunday and is tied for fifth heading into the final round of the Franklin Pierce University Fall Invitational on Monday at Northern Spy Golf Club in Townsend, Mass.

Women's Soccer (5-0-0, 2-0-0 NE10)

Notes:
- Women's soccer, ranked 13th in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II Poll, began the season 5-0-0 for the second straight campaign and just the third time since 1994, by going 2-0 last week with a 3-0 blanking of Daemen University on Wednesday and a 3-1 defeat of Assumption University on Saturday.
- The Penmen began the year with four straight shutouts for the first time since 1984 and finally had their scoreless streak to kick off the season come to an end at 411:39.
- Senior Jordan Butters (Beverly, Mass.) registered four points on a goal and two assists during the week. Butters assisted on a back-breaker of a goal that made it 2-0 just 30 seconds before halftime against Daemen and then notched a goal and a helper versus Assumption. - Senior Allison Beaumont (Milton, Ontario) recorded a goal and an assist in the Daemen win, with junior Nida Orloff (Leicester, Mass.) contributing a goal and an assist against Assumption.
- In her first career start, freshman Claudia Keith (Danvers, Mass.) stopped all four shots she faced for the shutout against Daemen.
- Graduate student Hannah Rose (Waterloo, Ontario) made three of four saves versus the Greyhounds, as her personal scoreless streak to begin the year finished at 302:16.

Men's Soccer (3-2-1, 1-1-1 NE10)

Notes:
- Men's soccer went 0-1-1 last week, suffering a 1-0 loss to crosstown-rival Saint Anselm College on Wednesday night, before drawing Le Moyne College, 1-1, Saturday.
- Senior Paul Makaj (Lagrangeville, N.Y.) converted a penalty kick goal in the 64th minute to forge the tie with Le Moyne. It was his first goal in a Penmen uniform.
- Sophomore Preston Neal (Windham, N.H.) turned away four of the six shots he faced in the two contests, making three saves against the Hawks and one versus the Dolphins.

Women's Volleyball (6-2, 0-0 NE10)

Notes:
- Volleyball was idle again last week and will end a 16-day layoff at Bentley University on Tuesday night (7 p.m.).

Notes:
- Field hockey went 0-2 last week with a pair of one-goal losses to nationally-ranked opponents. The Penmen fell at home, 2-1, to No. 7 Assumption University on Wednesday and then dropped another 2-1 decision at ninth-ranked Bentley University on Saturday.
- Junior Emma Thibodeau (Danvers, Mass.) scored both SNHU goals during the week, tallying off a penalty corner to give the Penmen a 1-0 lead over Assumption in the 39th minute, and on a penalty stroke to slice the deficit in half in the 48th minute against Bentley.
- Freshman goalie Emma Peeters (Wageningen, Netherlands) stopped 17 of the 21 shots that came her way during the week, including a career-best 13 of 15 against Assumption.

Women's Tennis (2-0, 1-0 NE10)

Notes:
- Women's tennis began the season 2-0 for the third straight year with a massive, 5-2 victory over defending NE10 Regular-Season Champion Le Moyne College on Sunday.
- Senior Magdalena Hubickova (Prague, Czech Republic) glided past Isabella Barone, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 1 singles and also combined with graduate student Alexxa Etienne (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) to edge Francesca Lilliegren and Barona, 6-4, at No. 2 doubles.
- Freshman Alina Kupfer (Munich, Germany) defeated Stella Simeonova, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 2 singles and also toppled Simeonova and Fiona Pepper, 6-2, at No. 2 doubles with graduate student Verena Weindl (Munich, Germany).

- The women's and men's cross country teams took part in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
- The women finished third in the field of 39 teams. Graduate student Ashley Corcoran (E. Longmeadow, Mass.) set a new program record for a 5K (17:56.58), while running second at the meet. All seven runners for SNHU set or established new marks for the distance.
- The men were seventh of 36 squads, with graduate student Jacob Logan (Norwood, Mass.) setting a new personal record for an 8K with a time of 25:16.90.  He finished 16th overall among the 282 participants.

Notes:
- Men's golf finished second out of nine teams at its rain-shortened Granite State Opener at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord, N.H. The Penmen played 36 holes Monday and fell one stroke shy of first-place Assumption, before rains canceled Tuesday's final round.
- Senior Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.), who fired a 6-under 66 in the second round and led by one shot heading into Tuesday, earned individual medalist honors with a 6-under 138. Senior Jeff Liss (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) finished second in the 54-golfer field with a 5-under 139.
- SNHU then finished first following the opening round of the Franklin Pierce University Fall Invitational on Sunday at Northern Spy Golf Club in Townsend, Mass. The Penmen are ahead by eight shots going into Monday's final 18.
- Sophomore Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) carded a 1-under 69 to tie for third place and is just one shot back of the leaders. Conti submitted a 70 and is tied for fifth.
