Pair of Penmen Roll into Round of 16 at ITAs

Hubickova, Kupfer still alive at ITA East Regional Championships

FLUSHING, N.Y. - Senior Magdalena Hubickova (Prague, Czech Republic) and freshman Alina Kupfer (Munich, Germany) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team both moved on to the round of 16 in the singles bracket on day two of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Regional Championship on Friday at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Both also advanced to the round of 16 in the doubles bracket, with Hubickova and graduate Alexxa Etienne (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) receiving a bye and then winning their round of 32 match, while Kupfer and grad student Verena Weindl (Munich, Germany) were victorious in a pair of matched to reach the round of 16.
