Graduate student Sara Montefameglio (Turin, Italy) handed out a season-high 42 assists, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team posted a 3-1 victory at the University of New Haven on Saturday at Charger Gymnasium.

KEY MOMENTS
- Trailing, 1-0, in the match and 6-5 in the second set, SNHU responded with a 13-5 stretch – highlighted by five kills form Thawnghmung and three from Pimenta – to take an 18-11 lead. The Penmen would score seven of the last nine points, with Thawnghmung contributing a pair of kills, to even the match.
- In the third set, SNHU used a 7-0 rush to take a two-point lead up to a 19-10 advantage. Pimenta (three kills, block) and Arletti (two kills, block) had a hand in six of the points. The Penmen would notch five of the last seven points, including four via error.
- SNHU was clinging to a 21-20 lead in the fourth set when four straight points from the Penmen, including kills from Pacini and Arletti, gave them the victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Set scores were 16-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-20.
- SNHU outhit New Haven in each of the final three sets, as well as .187-.131, overall.
- The Chargers owned an 11-5 advantage in blocks, while the Penmen held the edge in aces (8-3).
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire is 7-3 for the first time since the 2010 campaign.
- New Haven had won seven straight in the series and 15 of the last 16 meetings. The last win in the series came in Manchester on Nov. 8, 2014 (3-0). The Chargers had also captured eight consecutive home meetings.
