Redshirt-junior Ana Pimenta (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) rattled off a match-high 10 kills to help lead the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team to a 3-0 win against Saint Michael's College on Tuesday evening at the Stan Spirou Field House.

KEY MOMENTS
- SNHU set the tone from the start, scoring the first six points of the match, as Blaskey, Pimenta and Thawnghmung each recorded two kills. A 6-1 run, powered by two kills from graduate student Alice Arletti (Modena, Italy) opened up a 13-3 advantage and the Penmen would never look back.
- The Penmen opened the second set by scoring 23 of the first 30 points. Pimenta (ace) and Di Valerio led the way with three kills each, while Montefameglio (ace) and Blaskey each added two.
- Three kills from Bernardis helped SNHU jump out to a 10-4 lead in the third set. A 5-0 rush – bookended by two more Bernardis kills – extended the margin to 17-7, but an 8-3 run from the visitors would get them to within six. Back-to-back Di Valerio kills, however, ended the match.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Set scores were 25-15, 25-11, 25-17.
- Bernardis posted five kills on .444 hitting.
- Arletti tallied four kills and hit a sizzling .800.
- SNHU outhit SMC in all three sets, as well as .381-.025, overall.
- The Penmen owned 7-5 advantages in both blocks and aces.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire, which has captured three of its last four matches, is 8-3 for the first time since at least 1986.
- SNHU, which improves to 24-8 all-time against Saint Michael's, has captured 13 of 14, including seven straight, against the Purple Knights. The Penmen have also won 14 straight at home against SMC, last losing Oct. 27, 2000. This was SNHU's second three-set win versus Saint Michael's this season.
