Graduate student Rafa Escobedo (Santander, Spain) broke a scoreless tie just under three minutes into the second half, but the 23rd-ranked Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with Saint Michael's College on Wednesday evening at Ouellette Stadium.
KEY MOMENTS
  • Just 2:54 into the second half, Escobedo gave Southern New Hampshire a 1-0 lead when he ran onto a bouncing ball in the middle of the field and drove a ball from outside the box into the back of the net.
  • Saint Michael's answered only 1:02 later when a Penmen clear went right to the foot of Ronnie Riby-Williams, who ripped a low shot into the bottom right corner of the net.
