Meghan Gordon (Attleboro, Mass.) set career-highs with 19 points and 19 rebounds, but SNHU dropped a 59-52 decision to #10/15 Bentley University on Wednesday at the Stan Spirou Field House.

KEY MOMENTS
- There were nine lead changes in a competitive first quarter which ended with Bentley up 14-13.
- The Penmen rallied late in the second to close to 25-23 by halftime. Sophomore Hailey Sherrick (Braintree, Mass.) hit a three-pointer and added a pair of free throws.
- Junior Sydnie DeVries (Monson, Mass.) scored the first points of the third quarter to tie the game and Gordon added a jumper to make it 27-25 Penmen.
- Bentley did not score in the third until 4:39 remained on a three-pointer by Kylie Ducharme.
- The Penmen would then go a 13-3 run and take a 40-31 lead with 9:08 to play on a fast break bucket for Gordon.
- The Falcons responded with an 18-2 run over the next 3:55 to take a 49-42 lead.
- Gordon would hit a three-pointer with 2:56 to play to draw the Penmen to within 51-47, but they would not get any closer.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Gordon scored a career-high 19 points and pulled down a career-high 19 rebounds (16 defensive, 3 offensive).
- Sherrick's five points were career-high and she made her first career three-pointer.
- SNHU finished the game 21-73 (28.8%) including 3-18 (16.7%) on its three-point field goals. Bentley was 20-62 (32.3 %) on field goals and 5-14 (35.7%) from downtown.
- The Penmen hit 7-of-11 free throws (63.6%) and the Falcons knocked down 14-26 (53.8%).
- SNHU won the boards 51-48. Each team committed six turnovers.
- Each team had 30 points in the paint and Bentley's bench outscored SNHU's 25-11.
NOTES
- Both SNHU and Bentley are now 4-1 in NE10 play and in a four-way tie with Pace and Saint Rose.
- SNHU is now 47-17 (.734) since the start of the 2021-22 season, including 22-9 (.710) at the Stan Spirou Field House.
- Bentley wins its fourth straight in the series with the Penmen, extending its overall lead to 49-8.
