Evan Guillory (Springfield, Mo.) scored a team-high 20 points to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team to its sixth straight victory with a 77-59 win over the College of Saint Rose on Saturday night at the Stan Spirou Field House.

- Graduate student Ryan Layman (Wrentham, Mass.) – 10 points (5-6 FG), 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals
KEY MOMENTS
- Neither team led by more than four until Southern New Hampshire used six straight points from Guillory to open a 24-19 lead with 3:53 left in the opening half. SNHU would go into the locker room with a 30-23 lead.
- Saint Rose opened the second half on a 12-3 run that flipped it into the lead at 35-33 less than five minutes in, but the Penmen countered with a 20-5 rush – with six points each from Okwuosa and Kodi, as well as five from Guillory – to grab the lead for good at 53-40 with 7:21 remaining.
- Saint Rose was within eight with less than two minutes to go when SNHU ripped off 10 straight to win going away at 77-59. Guillory and Okwuosa led the way with three each.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Junior Matt Becht (Vienna, Va.) netted eight points (2-7 FG, 2-7 3-FG, 2-2 FT), two rebounds
- Junior Noah Kamba (Lynn, Mass.) also scored eight points (3-6 FG, 2-5 3-FG) to go with two rebounds and two rebounds.
- Sophomore Derrick Grant (Plainfield, N.J.) posted three points (3-4 FT) and seven boards.
- Southern New Hampshire outshot Saint Rose, 54.9 percent (28-51) to 41.4 percent (24-58), including 36 percent (9-25) to 20 percent (5-25) from behind the arc.
- While both teams shot 85.7 percent from the line, SNHU was plus-6, shooting 12-for-14, while Saint Rose was 6-for-7.
- The Penmen captured the glass (32-27) and paint (36-34), received more scoring from their bench (24-14) and and featured a better assist-to-turnover ratio (16/9-10/8). The Golden Knights scored more points off turnovers (7-6), and second chance points (14-4).
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire, which is receiving votes in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Coaches Poll, has won 13 of its last 17, 12 of its last 13 and six-in-a-row.
- SNHU remains in a three-way tie for first place in the NE10 standings with Bentley University and Saint Anselm College.
- SNHU, which leads the all-time series, 24-17, has won 11 of the last 14 meetings against the Golden Knights, and has won eight straight at home against Saint Rose. The Golden Knights last won in Manchester on Jan. 13, 2011 (72-66).
- Guillory has put together a five-game, double-digit scoring streak (15.4 ppg).
- Okwuosa is averaging 17.8 points per contest over his last four.
- Becht, the reigning NE10 Player of the Week, scores fewer than nine points for the first time in 23 games and has his eight-game, double-digit scoring streak snapped.
