Alyssa DiMauro (Chester, N.H.) delivered a clutch two-run single in the first inning to help lead SNHU to a 7-3 win over Bloomfield and a sweep of Saturday's doubleheader. The Penmen won the first game 3-2.
GAME 1: SNHU 3-2
- Bloomfield took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when Danielle Walters, who had reached on an error, scored on a wild pitch.
- The Bears scored again in the top of the second inning when Naya Olacio, who had walked, advanced on a single and scored on a groundout by Audrianna Ortiz.
- SNHU scored in the bottom of the first inning. Sophomore Jordyn Resetar (Hanover, Pa.) scored on a single by freshman Gianna LaSpina (Bellmore, N.Y.) to make it 2-1.
- SNHU drew even in the bottom of the fifth inning. Senior Abi Gray (Litchfield, N.H.) singled and pinch-runner Olivia Mason (Derry, N.H.) stole two bases before scoring on a groundout by senior Bryn Garczynski (Norwood, Mass.).
- Gray delivered the game-winning single in the bottom of the sixth inning. Junior Jill Johnson (Raynham, Mass.) doubled and DiMauro followed with a single to up Gray's hit.
- Sophomore Hannah DeRock (Hunt, N.Y.) started in the circle, working 4.1 innings, allowing four hits and two runs (one earned).
- Junior Leine McKechnie (Passadumkeag, Maine) pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief for the win.
GAME 2: SNHU 7-3
- The Penmen scored five runs on seven hits over the first two innings.
- Five consecutive Penmen batters reached to start the game. Junior Bella Dickinson (Scarborough, Maine) singled in the first run and DiMauro delivered a two-run single to make it 3-0.
- After the Bears put up a pair in their first, SNHU scored two, which included a double-steal by Dickinson and junior Abby Hagerty (Marshfield, Mass.).
- Gray knocked in another run with a squeeze bunt in the fifth, and freshman Abby Lineman (Doylestown, Pa.) had a run-scoring single to give SNHU a 7-2 lead.
- Sophomore Gwyn Hammond (Los Angeles, Calif.) earned the win, working four innings, allowing three runs.
- McKechnie allowed a base-hit, and then retired the final nine batters of the game for her second save.
NOTES
- The Penmen lead the all-time series with Bloomfield 5-1.

- The Penmen will meet Felician University in a doubleheader on Sunday starting at 9:00 a.m. to bring the Myrtle Beach trip to a conclusion.
