MANSFIELD, Mass. – SNHU freshman Nathan Loisel (Saint-Laurent, Quebec) has been named NE10 Rookie of the Week for Feb. 20 after a 54 save performance in net in a 3-2 overtime win at Assumption on Saturday night. The award was announced Monday afternoon.
Loisel's sixth appearance, and fifth start, was one of his best. The 54 saves were career-high. Saturday's win was his third of the season.
SNHU (10-16-0/9-11-0 NE10) will meet Franklin Pierce University in an NE10 first-round game on Tuesday at 7:40 p.m. at The Ice Den Arena. The Penmen earned the 4th seed, while the Ravens are seeded-fifth. SNHU went 3-1 (3 wins, overtime loss) against Franklin Pierce during the regular seasons.
