Bella Dickinson (Scarborough, Maine) homered and drove in five runs to lead SNHU to an 11-4 win at Dominican University and a split of Friday's doubleheader in Orangeburg, N.Y.

KEY MOMENTS GAME 1
- Chloe McIntosh had a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the second inning to give Dominican a 2-0 lead.
- Madison Walker homered to put the Chargers up 3-0 in the bottom of the third.
- Emily Angulo singled in a run in the bottom of the fifth inning for a 4-0 lead.
- Dickinson singled to lead off the top of the sixth inning, the first hit of the game for SNHU. A bunt by senior Bryn Garczynski (Norwood, Mass.) and a ground out by Gifford moved Dickinson to third. She scored on a single by sophomore Jordyn Resetar (Hanover, Pa.).
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE – GAME 1
- Resetar's RBI was her third of the season, and she is tied for second on the team with nine hits.
- The loss for SNHU was an eighth straight, a stretch in which the Penmen had scored just eleven runs.
- Freshman Emily Baxter earned the win in the circle, allowing just two hits, striking out eight.
- Junior Leine McKechnie (Passadumkeag, Maine) took the loss.
KEY MOMENTS GAME 2
- The Penmen scored a quick three runs in the top of the first inning. Feldman walked and Garczynski bunted her to second. A single by Dickinson made it 1-0, and Gifford followed with a homer to center field.
- Dickinson went deep in the top of the second inning after freshman Abby Lineman (Doylestown, Pa.) walked and Feldman singled.
- The Chargers got to sophomore Gwyn Hammond (Los Angeles, Calif.) for back-to-back homers in the third by Walker and Giovanna Salcido. McKechnie took over in the circle and pitched the rest of the game.
- Feldman started the fourth with a single, and a pair of errors led to one run. A pair of walks loaded the bases for Gray, who delivered a three-run double and a 10-2 lead.
- Dickinson made it 11-2 in the top of the first inning, driving in Garczynski, who had doubled.
- Walker's third home run of the doubleheader, a two-run shot in the bottom of the fifth inning, accounted for the final two runs of the contest.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE- GAME 2
- The home runs by Gifford and Dickinson in the second game were the first hit by the team in 2023.
- Dickinson went 3-for-4 with a walk and five RBI in the game.
- Gray went 2-for-4 with three RBI.
- Feldman was 2-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored.
- McKechnie worked 4.1 innings to improve to 2-3 on the season. She allowed two hits and two runs, walking one and striking out four.
NOTES
- SNHU snapped an eight-game losing streak with the win in the second game.
- The 11 runs scored were a season-high, and the 11 hits matched the most in a game this season.
- Junior Ari Ferrier (Middleboro, Mass.) had reached safely in nine straight games before an 0-3 in the first game of the doubleheader snapped the streak.
- The Penmen lead the all-time series with Dominican 3-1. The teams had previously met in 2017 for a doubleheader in Clermont, Fla.
- Dominican is 2-3 against NE10 teams this season having split a doubleheader with Assumption and losing a single game to Saint Anselm.
