HOW IT HAPPENED
- Valentine gave the Penmen a 1-0 lead just 4:29 into the first period off a pass from Fleming.
- The Dolphins held SNHU off the board for the next 15:44 seconds, building a 4-1 lead. Seth Benedict scored a goal and assisted on three others in that stretch for Le Moyne.
- The Penmen then scored four of the next five goals, tying the game at 5-5 at halftime.
- Freshman Matt Antonetti (North Attleboro, Mass.) scored, assisted by Fleming to make it 4-2.
- Unassisted goals by Krutz, Marra, and Fleming tied the game.
- Le Moyne outscored SNHU 4-2 in both the third and fourth quarters to secure the win.
- Junior Joseph Bodi (Nashua, N.H.) and Pietz scored in the third for the Penmen.
- Auger and Pietz had the fourth-period tallies.

- Le Moyne had a 46-25 shot advantage for the contest, including 25-11 in the second half.
- Le Moyne's advantage on ground balls was 26-25.
- The teams split the 26 face-offs in the contest.
- SNHU was a perfect 17-17 on clears, while the Dolphins were 16-of-18.
- The Penmen were 0-3 on extra-man opportunities.
- Benedict scored nine points for Le Moyne with three goals and six assists.
NOTES
- SNHU falls to 1-21 all-time against Le Moyne with the win coming back in 2017 when the Dolphins also brought a top-ranked team to play the Penmen.
- This was the home opener for the Penmen after starting the season with a pair of road games.
- The Penmen have played the first two games of the season on the road and received a vote in this week's USILA/Dynamic 2023 Men's Coaches Division II poll.
- Valentine (12 points) and Auger (11 points) lead the Penmen in scoring through three games.
- With 124 career points, Valentine moves into a tie for 16th in program history.
- Auger, who joined the SNHU program last season, has tallied 59 points (27 goals, 32 assists) in just 16 games.

- In addition to the 15 saves by DePaul, the defense caused seven turnovers. Graduate student Alex Sturgess (Derry, N.H.) had four ground balls and caused two turnovers to lead the Penmen.
