KEY MOMENTS
- After Franklin Pierce scored just under two minutes in, Southern New Hampshire rattled off four straight to take a 4-1 lead after one quarter of play. Valentine scored twice during the stretch, while Pietz tallied a goal and an assist.
- SNHU collected four of the next five goals to begin the second stanza, including two from Terrones, to open up an 8-2 advantage with 5:37 to play in the opening half. Auger recorded a goal and a helper, with Pietz added a pair of assists. The Ravens scored with just under three minutes on the clock to trim their halftime deficit to 8-3.
- FPU opened the second half with three straight to pull within 8-6 with 7:12 remaining in the third quarter. Auger started a three-goal run just 42 seconds later and the Penmen reclaimed some breathing room at 11-6 with 3:51 to play.
- The Ravens ended the frame with three straight and then scored the first two of the fourth quarter to pull even at 11-all with 9:54 to go. Valentine gave the Penmen a 12-11 lead with 6:43 on the clock, but Joe Nutting would score his fifth of the game to tie it with 3:27 remaining in the contest.
- In overtime Auger set up Pietz for the game-winner just 1:09 in to send SNHU to victory.
