Senior Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) shot a 4-under 76 in the opening round of the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championship, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team sits in 12th following the first 18 holes at Iron Valley Golf Club on Thursday.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS

• Conti is tied for 29th with the 76.
• Freshman Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.) is just behind with a 77 that has him tied for 40th.
• Sophomore Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) is tied for 47th with a 78.
• Senior Jeff Liss (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) rounded out the Penmen scorers with a 79.
• Freshman Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) shot an 80 that was dropped from the team score.

NOTES

• Adelphi University (297) is in first place, just one shot ahead of Le Moyne College (298).
• St. Thomas Aquinas College's Donte Groppuso is the individual leader with a 3-under 69, which is one stroke better than Le Moyne's Tyler Birdd (70).
• Pepin notched one of eight eagles on the day.
• Rollins is tied for the fifth most birdies with four.
• The NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championship is comprised of 100 golfers from 20 different institutions, as well as eight golfers playing as individuals, representing six different schools.
