Collin Berke (Crofton, Md.) had another strong game in net as the Penmen opened a set at Saint Michael's College with a 4-1 win on Friday night.

KEY MOMENTS
- Murray opened the scoring for the Penmen at 8:50 of the first period with a one-timer off a pass from junior Ryan Clear (Cherry Hill, N.J.). Freshman Austin Hirschberger (Harwich, Mass.) started the play by winning a face-off in the Saint Michael's zone.
- Muthersbaugh made it 2-0 with a power-play goal at 14:32. His blast came just inside the blue line with assists to freshmen Nic Dallaire (Waltham, Mass.) and Coleman Nee (Arlingon, Mass.)
- Minnig extended the lead to 3-0 at 15:06 of the second period with another long drive. The assists went to junior Jack Gray (Lowell, Mass.) and sophomore Kurt Watson (London, Ont.)
- A power-play goal by Pomposelli at 18:30 of the second period came off passes by sophomore Brendan Lynch (Nepean, Ont.) and senior Matt Amante (West Hempstead, N.Y.).
- Saint Michael's tallied a power-play goal by Brennan McFarland at 8:15 of the final period.

- Saint Michael's had a 32-29 shot advantage for the contest.
- The Penmen were 2-for-7 on the power play while holding the Purple Knights to 1-for-8.
NOTES
- Berke extended his scoreless streak to a little over 125 minutes before the Purple Knights scored in the final period.
- Murray's first two career goals have come in the past two games.
- Pomposelli leads the Penmen with 18 points on six goals and 12 assists.
- Saint Michael's still leads the all-time series 52-28-7, and they hold a 2-1-0 advantage this season after a pair of overtime wins in Hooksett November 3-4.
- The Penmen moved into a second-place tie with Franklin Pierce with the win on Friday night. Both teams have 21 points, trailing only first-place Assumption University.
