- The Penmen opened the fourth quarter with a 10-3 flurry – buoyed by five points from Timberlake – that opened their largest lead of the contest at 49-38 with 5:47 remaining. Franklin Pierce responded with a 12-2 counter-run that slashed its deficit to 51-50 with 34 seconds on the clock, but the Penmen went 4-for-4 at the stripe down the stretch and made a defensive stop to seal the win.
