KEY MOMENTS
- Both teams shot 4-14 in the first quarter which ended up 9-9.
- Knight, Gordon, and Timberlake all hit lay-ups as the Penmen opened an eight-point lead in the second quarter. They took a 25-19 lead to the half after holding the Purple Knights to 3-for-18 shooting in the second quarter.
- Timberlake hit another lay-up with 2:37 to go in the third quarter as the Penmen opened the lead to 40-24.
- Paige Slaven, who led Saint Michael's with 13 points, made a lay-up with 2:28 to play in the game to close the gap to 48-42.Â
- The Penmen went on a 7-2 run to close the game, hitting 7-10 free throws down the stretch to close out the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- SNHU finished the game 24-56 (42.9%) but 0-7 from three-point range.
- The Purple Knights shot 17-62 (27.4 %) and 3-for-28 from three-point range.
- The Penmen were 7-15 (46.7%) from the line and Saint Michael's was 7-9 (77.8%)

NOTES
- Saint Michael's leads the all-time series 31-26 but the Penmen have won eight straight against the Purple Knights.

- The Penmen had hit at least one three-pointer in 71 consecutive games dating back to 11/20/21 against Georgian Court, a game SNHU also won (72-61).
- Knight's 18 rebounds were a career-high.
- Timberlake, with 1,435 career points, sits in fourth place on the program's all-time scoring list. Next up on the list is Sloane Sorrell (2009-13) with 1,460 points.
- The Penmen (11-3) are in a tie for second place in the NE10 with Assumption University, trailing only first-place Bentley University (12-1).

- The Penmen will be home this Saturday, Feb. 3 (1:30 p.m.) when it plays host to the University of New Haven. That contest will serve as the annual Pink Day Game at the Stan Spirou Field House.  A fair will be held in the lobby of the Field House starting at 12:30 p.m.Â
