Senior Deanne Wilson (Buffalo, N.Y.) and junior Caelan Cook (Indian Harbour Beach, Fla.) each recorded 10 kills, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team fell to American International College, 3-1, Tuesday evening at the Stan Spirou Field House.

KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire trailed 12-6 in the opening set when it ripped off an 8-2 run – powered by aces from seniors Julia Cavalcanti (Vineyard, Utah) and Madison Keating (Milford, N.H.) – to knot the score at 14-all. The Penmen found themselves down, 23-21, but kills from Wilson, sophomore Daya Jean-Baptiste (Miami, Fla.) and Gilmore carried a 4-0 run that stunned American Int'l and gave the hosts a 1-0 lead in the match.
- AIC was behind, 18-17, in the second stanza before it notched five straight to flip into the lead at 22-18. SNHU notched three of the next four to climb within 23-21, but the Yellow Jackets scored two of the final three to even the match.
- AIC took control in the third, jumping out to a 12-3 lead and eventually going up, 19-6, before cruising to victory.
- The Yellow Jackets sped out a 13-4 lead in the fourth and finished the match on a 12-5 run.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Set scores were 23-25, 25-22, 25-11, 25-13.
- Cavalcanti tallied four kills, an ace and three blocks.
- Jean-Baptiste recorded four kills and four blocks.
- Keating chipped in an ace and three digs.
- AIC outhit SNHU in the final three sets, as well as .299-.131, overall.
- The Yellow Jackets also owned advantages in aces (11-5) and blocks (9-7).
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire has dropped three of its last four.
- With its win in the opening frame, SNHU snapped AIC's 21-set winning streak.
- AIC has a 22-8 advantage in the all-time series with the Penmen. It has now won seven of eight and 10 of 12 versus SNHU. The Yellow Jackets have also captured four-in-a-row at SNHU, with the Penmen last protecting their home court against AIC on Nov. 7, 2015 (3-0).
