COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Senior Annemartine Christis ('s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands) of the sixth-ranked Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team was named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, as the organization announced its weekly honors recipients.
This is the second consecutive week an SNHU athlete has been honored with a National Weekly award. Last week, junior Emma Peeters (Wageningen, Netherlands) was named Defensive Player of the Week.
Christis scored six goals in the three SNHU wins last week - and added two more on Tuesday to give her a Northeast-10 leading 14 goals on the season. Christis has now moved into the top spot on the program list for points scored, goals, and assists for a career.
The Penmen, at 7-1, will host Mercy University on Saturday (Oct. 5) at 1 p.m. on Larkin Field in a Northeast-10 contest.
