Martin Fuentes (Pamplona, Spain) notched a pair of goals, as the fifth-ranked and top-seeded Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team rolled to a 4-0 victory against fourth-seeded Adelphi University in the NE10 Championship semifinals Wednesday night at Ouellette Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire struck first late in the 21st minute when Herrmann's shot from the right side of the box was saved, but the rebound caromed off to the goalkeeper's right where Zapata cleaned it up.
- SNHU doubled its lead in the 31st minute, with freshman Gabriel Castro (León, Spain) sending a long pass into the left side of the box for Fuentes, who ran on to the ball, collected it and scored from a sharp angle.
- The Penmen did it again midway through the 59th minute, as Zapata delivered a long pass that Herrmann sprinted to and buried from the top of the box.
- Fuentes capped the scoring in the 66th minute, dribbling down the field flanked by a pair of defenders, cutting back and drilling a left-footed shot past the diving goalkeeper.

- Adelphi goalkeeper Santiago Arango made nine saves.
- SNHU outshot Adelphi, 22-8, including 13-2 in shots on target.
- The Penmen also held a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire, ranked fifth in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25, is unbeaten in 13 of its last 14 (11-1-2) and five straight (3-0-2).
- SNHU improves to 27-10-7 (.693) all-time in 24 appearances in the NE10 Championship, including 4-1-0 against Adelphi.
- The Penmen advance to the NE10 final for the ninth time and second straight season. SNHU is 7-2 (.778) all-time in the conference title match. The clash with the University of New Haven will be the first NE10 postseason meeting between the two teams.
- Southern New Hampshire leads the all-time series with Adelphi, 10-7-0, and has now won five straight, including a 1-0 victory in Garden City back on Oct. 12. SNHU has not allowed a goal to the Panthers during the winning streak and has held them scoreless for 518:07. The Penmen have also captured three straight at home in the series.
- Fuentes' two tallies give him seven on the year.
- Zapata's goal is his eighth of the season, as he maintains the team lead in points with 25 (8g, 9a).
- Herrmann's goal was his team-leading 10th of the season and 18th of his career.
