Derrick Grant Jr. (Piscataway, N.J.) scored 18 points to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team to a 79-68 victory over Felician University on Saturday afternoon at the Stan Spirou Field House.

KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire trailed by two a little more than three minutes into the contest when a Grant 3-pointer sparked a 10-0 run that put the Penmen up, 15-7, with 14:43 remaining in the opening half. Grant led the way with five points. Felician eventually whittled its deficit down to a single point with 9:23 left, but four different scorers combined on a 13-2 burst – led by four from Greene – to give SNHU its largest lead of the contest at 34-22 with 3:16 left. The hosts would bring a 38-29 advantage into the break.
- Felician began the second half with nine straight points to tie the game at 38-all, but five points from Greene powered a 10-0 rush that put SNHU back in front, 48-38, a little more than four minutes in. The Golden Falcons would eventually climb within 60-58 with 7:15 to play, but an 8-2 spurt – with four points from Grant – widened the Penmen advantage to 68-60 with 4:08 on the clock. Felician would not go away, knocking down a 3-pointer with less than three minutes to go to make it a 70-65 game. SNHU responded with a 9-2 run – highlighted by a huge Henderson triple with 1:03 left – to put it away.

- Junior Royce Williams (Manchester, N.H.) netted nine points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3-FG, 4-4 FT) and grabbed a pair of rebounds.
- Senior Noah Harris (Manalapan, N.J.) tallied eight points (2-8 FG, 2-6 3-FG, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.
- Senior Jordan Brathwaite (Silver Springs, Md.) recorded seven points (3-5 FG, 1-3 3-FG), three boards and three assists.
- Junior Ray Daniels (Las Vegas, Nev.) added six points (6-17 FT), three rebounds and two assists.
- Senior Brenden Choate (Nashua, N.H.) chipped in four points (2-3 FG).
- Southern New Hampshire outshot Felician, 48.1 percent (25-52) to 40 percent (22-55), including 47.6 percent (10-21) to 40 percent (12-30) from beyond the arc. The Penmen were also plus-7 from the line and shot it better, 90.5 percent (19-21) to 75 percent (12-16).
- The Penmen captured the glass (38-26) and the paint (26-16), scored more points off turnovers (26-15) and second chance points (11-9) and received more scoring from their bench (20-18), while the Golden Falcons scored more on the fast break (16-11) and submitted a slightly better assist-to-turnover ratio (13/16-14/18).
NOTES
- SNHU leads the all-time series, 7-0, including 4 -0 at home. This was the first meeting between the two teams since an 87-85 road victory for SNHU on Dec. 30, 2018. It was also the first time the foes met at the Stan Spirou Field House since a 73-57 Penmen victory on Nov. 26, 2017.
- Greene's double-double is his fifth of the season and of his career.
- Greene is averaging 13.6 rebounds per game through the first five contests of year – the second best in the nation.
