Ari Ferrier (Middleboro, Mass.) each had three hits, but SNHU softball dropped a pair of 2-1 games to Bentley University on Wednesday afternoon in Hooksett.

GAME 1: BENTLEY 2-1
- The game was scoreless until the top of the sixth.
- Jordan Krause singled and Sabrina Grizzaffi homered off the screen attached to the left field foul pole.
- Only one SNHU runner had reached second base until the bottom of the seventh inning. Two out singles by freshman Charlotte Donovan (Biddeford, Maine) and Ferrier brought sophomore Peyton Feldman (Foxboro, Mass.) to the plate.
- Feldman reached on a fielder's choice and error, allowing Donovan to score.
- A pop by Dickinson ended the game.
- McKechnie went the distance in the circle.
GAME 2: BENTLEY 2-1
- Bentley played from the lead after scoring in the top of the first inning.
- The Falcons loaded the bases with no outs, and the first run scored on a single by Morgan Fraitzl.
- Bentley added a sun in the fifth inning when Lauren Massry reached on a fielder's choice.
- The Penmen made it 2-1 in the last of the fifth inning as five consecutive hitters reached. A single by Dickinson brought home Donovan, who had reached on a hit-by-pitch.
- SNHU tried to score a run after a ball got away on a throw to third, but pinch-runner freshman Kaysie DeMoura (Taunton, Mass.) just missed getting into the plate ahead of the tag.
- Ferrier led off the last of the seventh with a single and Feldman reached on a bunt, but the Penmen were unable to cash in.
- SNHU tied the game on a sacrifice fly by senior Alyssa DiMauro (Chester, N.H.) in the second, and took the lead with a pair of runs in the top of the third when Ferrier homered and Lineman delivered an RBI single.
- Colbert and Freitas combined to hold the Falcons to six hits.
NOTES:
- Feldman has reached base in her last 12 games and leads the team with a .379 average and .403 OBP.
- Falcon pitcher Riley Piromalli went the distance in the opener and earned the save with 2.2 scoreless innings in relief in the nightcap.
- Bentley has a 46-43 in the all-time series with SNHU and the Falcons have won six straight over the Penmen.

- The Penmen will play NE10 doubleheaders at American International College on Saturday and The College of Saint Rose on Sunday.
