Peyton Feldman (Foxboro, Mass.) drilled a two-run double in the top of the ninth inning to carry SNHU to a 4-2 win over Saint Rose and a sweep of Sunday's doubleheader in Albany. The Penmen also won the opener 4-2.

GAME 1: SNHU 4-2
- The Golden Knights opened the scoring with a run in the first to go up 1-0.
- The Penmen scored all four of its runs in the top of the third inning.
- Ferrier opened the inning with a single to center field and Feldman followed with a single.
- Resetar flied out and Ferrier and Feldman moved up to second and third.
- A double by Lineman plated both runners and junior Mackenzie Bruggeman (Trumbull, Conn.) walked.
- Singles by Dickinson and senior Alyssa DiMauro (Chester, N.H.) both drove in runs.
- McKechnie started in the circle and earned her 10th win.
- DeRock earned her second save with two innings of scoreless relief.
GAME 2: SNHU 4-2 (9 innings)
- Saint Rose scored in the first inning on a wild pitch to take a 1-0 lead.
- A double by Ferrier and a single by Feldman tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the third inning.
- Madison Chandler homered for the Golden Knights in the bottom of the third to move her team back in front.
- In the top of the seventh, Gifford led off with a single and Bruggeman bunted her to second. A single by Dickinson tied the game at 2-2.
- The Penmen went ahead in the top of the ninth inning.
- Dickinson led off with a double to right field and DiMauro walked. After two outs, Feldman ripped a two-run double to make it 4-2.
- Saint Rose put two on base with two outs in the bottom of the ninth but Donovan got out of the jam when Chandler grounded out.
- Three pitchers worked in the third circle. Freitas started, working 3.2 (2 earned runs).
- Colbert pitched three scoreless innings in relief.
- Donovan did not allow a run in her 2.1 innings pitched.
NOTES:
- After 38 games, Feldman is hitting .400 (56-for-140) with a team-leading 11 doubles and one home run.. She has reached base in 16 consecutive games.
- It's the third consecutive season that McKechnie has earned 10 wins. She is pitching to a career-best 2.26 ERA through 20 appearances in 2024.
- The Penmen have won 20 consecutive games in which they have scored at least four runs.
- SNHU has played nine doubleheaders over the past two weeks and is 14-4 in those games.
- SNHU improves to 22-10 all-time against Saint Rose with wins in six straight and eight of the last nine games dating back to 2011.
WHAT'S NEXT
- Tuesday's scheduled doubleheader with AIC at the SNHU Softball Field has been canceled.
- The Penmen will conclude the regular with home doubleheaders against Adelphi University (April 26) and Pace University (April 27).
