Senior Eyleen Dias (Plymouth, Mass.) collected a team-high 13 digs in the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team's 3-0 loss to Saint Michael's College at the International Volleyball Hall of Fame East Region Clash on Saturday at American International College's Butova Gymnasium.

KEY MOMENTS
- Trailing 20-16 in the opening set, Southern New Hampshire notched five of the next six points – highlighted by a pair of Wilson kills – to even the score at 21-all. The set was tied at 22 and 24, before a pair of SNHU errors gave Saint Michael's the 1-0 lead in the match.
- The second stanza was tied, 17-17, when SMC ended it on an 8-2 run to go up, 2-0.
- The Penmen were in front, 10-8, in the third, but nine straight points, as part of a 16-3 blitz, gave the Purple Knights a commanding 24-13 advantage. SNHU battled, however, reeling off six-in-a-row to get within five before SMC ended it with a kill.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Set scores were 26-24, 25-19, 25-19.
- Sophomore Elsa Gilmore (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) recorded six kills.
- Sophomore Angela Mateos (Seville, Spain) totaled five kills.
- Junior Caelan Cook (Indian Harbour Beach, Fla.) chipped in three kills and hit .333.
- Saint Michael's outhit SNHU in all three sets, including .252-.098, overall.
- The Penmen owned a 5-4 edge in blocks, while aces were even at 7-all.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire has lost three straight.
- SNHU still leads the all-time series with the Purple Knights, 31-11. The Penmen entered the match having captured 15 of 16, including nine straight, against SMC. SNHU had also won 28 of the last 29 sets against the Purple Knights. Saint Michael's earn its first win against the Penmen since Oct. 11, 2016 (3-1) at home.

- The Penmen are back in action Tuesday, Oct. 1 (7 p.m.) when they take on cross-town rival Saint Anselm College.
