Women's basketball picked up its fifth win in the last six games, leading start-to-finish in a 59-54 win at Assumption in Northeast-10 action Wednesday in Worcester.

KEY MOMENTS
• SNHU had a strong first quarter to open a 21-10 lead. Three of the first seven made field goals were three-pointers by sophomore

• The Penmen had an 11-point lead with 3:41 to play in the half, but Assumption closed the quarter with seven straight points to make it 32-28 at halftime.
• Baron hit a layup and followed that with three free throws to give the Penmen a 44-32 lead with 4:59 to go in the third quarter.
• SNHU led 53-38 on a Davis layup off a turnover with 9:13 to play, and still led by 12 with 7:25 to play. Assumption scored the next 11 points to make it 53-52 before a Winterburn layup.
• The Greyhounds trailed 57-54 with the ball, but missed a three-pointer with 12 seconds left and SNHU's Brennan came up with the rebound of the miss.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The nine points by Baron were a career-high.
• Brennan matched her career-best with six points. She hit a pair of three-pointers and contributed two assists and two steals.
• The Penmen shot 19-54 (35.2%) including 8-for-22 (36.4%) from three-point range and 13-of-15 (86.7%) from the line.
• The Greyhounds were led by Kajihe Hall, who had 14 points and pulled down 14 rebounds.
• Assumption was 21-61 (34.4%) from the floor including 5-21 (23.8%) from three-point range. They were 7-for-12 (58.3%) from the line.
NOTES
• The Penmen have won five of the last six games.
• Assumption leads the all-time series with SNHU 38-22.
• SNHU is 68-31 (.687) since the 2021-22 season started.
• The teams will meet again on February 11 at the Stan Spirou Field House.
