Jacari Sanders (San Antonio, Texas) combined for 50 points, but the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team saw Dominican (N.Y.) University pull away in the second half for a 90-76 victory Saturday afternoon at the Newman Center.
KEY MOMENT
- SNHU, which trailed by two at halftime, was behind, 57-52, near the midway point of the second stanza when Dominican ripped off a 12-2 run to open a 69-54 lead just over two minutes later. The Chargers took their largest lead of the day at 83-64 with 2:37 to go.
NOTES
- Wallace paced the Penmen with 18 points (6-18 FG, 6-6 FT), to go with three rebounds.
- Morris tallied 16 points (6-16 FG, 1-3 3-FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and a pair of assists.
- Sanders registered 16 points (6-13 FG, 1-3 3-FG, 4-5 FT), four rebounds and two helpers.
- Senior Ugo Nwachukwu (Imo State, Nigeria) recorded 12 points (5-7 FG, 1-3 3-FG, 1-2 FT), seven boards and two steals.
- Redshirt-junior Jahshawne Joseph (Malvern, Ont.) posted 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-2 FT) and eight rebounds.
- The Penmen still lead the all-time series with Dominican, 4-3, but the Chargers have won two of the last three.
