Ugo Nwachukwu (Imo State, Nigeria) crafted another monster double-double with 33 points and 11 rebounds, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team exploded for a 111-82 victory against Molloy University on Sunday afternoon at the Stan Spirou Field House.
KEY MOMENT
- Molloy was hanging around at 32-26 with a little more than eight minutes left in the opening half when SNHU reeled off a 24-9 run to balloon its lead to 56-35 with 2:18 on the clock. Nwachukuwu and junior Jacari Sanders (San Antonio, Texas) led the way with six points each, while sophomore Jojo Wallace (Milford, Conn.), redshirt-junior Jahshawne Joseph (Malvern, Ont.) and senior T.J. Morris (Jamaica, N.Y.) each added four.

- Southern New Hampshire matches its 2023-24 start to the season at 3-1.
- SNHU scores 100 points for the first time since a 101-81 victory at Pace on Jan. 29, 2022. The Penmen matched the 59 points they scored in the first half Sunday in that one. SNHU also reaches the century mark at home for the first time since Dec. 30, 2016 when they defeated Concordia (N.Y.) College, 107-69.
- The 111 points are the most for the Penmen since a 118-69 win over the University of Bridgeport on Feb. 5, 2000 at the Field House.
- Nwachukwu was 12-for-17 from the floor, including 1-for-2 from behind the arc, and 8-for-10 at the stripe.
- Nwachukwu's double-double is his second straight, third of the season and seventh of his career.
- Wallace registered 19 points (6-12 FG, 3-4 3-FG, 4-6 FT), eight rebounds and four assists.
- Morris posted 17 points (7-13 FG, 1-3 3-FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and five helpers.
- Sanders recorded 15 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3-FG, 4-4 FT) and five boards.
- Joseph added a career-high 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds and a pair of assists for the first double-double of his career.
- SNHU is now 5-0 all-time versus Molloy, including 3-0 at home.
- SNHU improves to 62-22 (.738) at home over the last seven seasons, including 2-0 this year.
