Sophomore Jojo Wallace (Milford, Conn.) poured in a game-high 27 points, and redshirt-junior Jahshawne Joseph (Malvern, Ont.) recorded a double-double, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team earned a 77-67 non-conference road win at Post University on Sunday afternoon.
KEY MOMENTS
  • SNHU opened strong, jumping out to an 11-5 lead behind back-to-back 3-pointers from redshirt junior Jack Hall (Avon, Conn.) just over three minutes into the contest.
  • The Penmen maintained control throughout the half, with a transition layup by freshman Preston Sledge (Champaign, Ill.) in the closing seconds sending SNHU into halftime with a 39-37 advantage.
  • SNHU began to separate early in the second half when Joseph buried a 3-pointer at 19:06 to push the Penmen back in front, sparking a stretch in which they never trailed again.
  • Over the final 10 minutes, Wallace and junior Jacari Sanders (San Antonio, Texas) repeatedly attacked the rim, helping SNHU extend the lead to double digits and seal the victory.
NOTES
  • SNHU dominated the glass with a 44-29 rebounding advantage, including 15 offensive boards and 21 second chance points.
  • Wallace's 27 points mark a career high. He shot 13-for-20 from the field, adding four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
  • Joseph posted 15 points (5-6 FG, 4-4 FT) and 11 rebounds for his second double-double in the last three games.
  • Sanders tallied 12 points (5-13 FG), seven rebounds, three assists and a steal.
  • Hall contributed 13 points, knocking down four 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
  • The Penmen have won the last four meetings with Post, and 14 of the last 15.
