Collins’ Late Strike Lifts Penmen to Draw at No. 17 Saint Anselm

Freshman Jillian Collins (Wilmington, Mass.) scored the equalizer late in the second half to help the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team earn a 1-1 draw with #17 Saint Anselm College Wednesday afternoon at Melucci Field.

KEY MOMENTS
  • Saint Anselm took a 1-0 lead at 27:21 when Camryn Doyle converted a feed from Gabrielle Chisholm.
  • The Penmen drew even in the 79th minute. Sophomore Emma Noheimer (Mansfield, Conn.) found Collins at the far post for a the finish at 78:45 to make it 1-1.
NOTES
  • Senior Claudia Keith (Danvers, Mass.) made four saves for SNHU.
  • The Hawks held a 16-6 advantage in shots and an 8-5 edge in corner kicks.
  • SNHU is now 23-13-8 all-time against Saint Anselm, with the last three meetings ending in ties.  The teams each earn a Queen City Cup point, with the Penmen leading the season competition 8-6.
  • SNHU is now 68-33-27 (.637) over its last 128 matches dating back to the start of the 2017 campaign, including 45-8-14 (.776) at home over that span.
