Three From Field Hockey Honored as All-East Region by NFHCA

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Three members of the Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team have been named to the NFHCA All-East Region teams, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced Wednesday.

Juniors Minke van de Poll (Oosterbeek, Netherlands) and Jade Hendriks (Huissen, Netherlands) were selected to the First Team, while junior Zoe Demers (Manchester, N.H.) earned Second Team honors.

All three athletes were previously named First Team All-Conference by the Northeast-10 following SNHU's successful 12-7 season.

Demers led the Penmen in scoring with 11 goals and 24 points. Hendriks tallied four goals and six assists while anchoring a defense that allowed just 1.89 goals per game. Over three seasons with the Penmen, van de Poll scored 30 goals and added seven assists. Her 67 career points rank fourth in program history.
