KEY MOMENTS
- With the game tied with just over seven minutes remaining in the opening half, Assumption reeled off 10 of the next 12 points to take a 24-16 lead with 3:33 to play. The Greyhounds would bring a 28-21 advantage into the locker room.
- Assumption scored seven of the first nine points in the second half to grab its largest lead of the night at 35-23 just over two minutes in. Southern New Hampshire stormed back with 14-in-a-row – led by six each from Greene and Henderson – to move in front, 37-35, with 13:17 left. The Greyhounds answered with a 19-6 burst to take a commanding, 54-43 lead with 7:42 on the clock.

- Assumption matched its largest lead of the contest at 60-48 with 5:05 remaining, but SNHU responded with 11 consecutive points, as part of a half-ending 15-3 blitz that left the score tied at 63-all. Henderson scored seven points, including an overtime-forcing free throw with 5.2 seconds left, while senior Noah Harris (Manalapan, N.J.) added six.
- In the first overtime, SNHU trailed, 76-73, with 5.6 ticks to go when Brathwaite drove to the hoop, dropped in a layup and was fouled. He sank the free throw to forge a 76-76 tie and push the game to a second extra session.
- The second overtime saw three lead changes and three ties, with Assumption leading, 82-81, when Henderson forced his way to the rim and drew a foul with 5.2 seconds to play. He drilled both free throws to flip the Penmen in front, 83-82. The Greyhounds had one last shot at the win in the closing seconds. Their 3-pointer hit the front of the rim, but a put-back at the buzzer went in, with one official signaling a good basket. All three officials huddled together and they eventually – correctly – overturned the call, ruling the Assumption player still had the ball in his hands when the light went on.
