KEY MOMENTS
- Molloy scored the first goal of the game with 10:33 in the first quarter and built the lead to 4-0 when Bryan Diliberto scored with seven seconds left.
- The Lions led 6-0 before SNHU scored its first goal of the contest with 2:12 left in the first half.
- Lynch was able to find a narrow seam in front of the Molloy net to score the goal.
- SNHU scored with 7:13 to play in the contest on a goal by Beckett who took a pass from Gallo from behind the cage.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Beckett's goal was the first of his career.
- Lynch has two goals and three assists (five points) in his first two games of the season.
- Gallo leads the Penmen with four goals and four assists (eight points).
- Senior Patrick Cassidy (No. Chelmsford, Mass.) and sophomore Matt Roy (North Andover, Mass.) both saw action in goal for the Penmen on Saturday. It was Roy's collegiate debut.
NOTES
- Molloy leads the all-time series with SNHU 13-5 and the Lions have won two straight including 11-10 in double overtime at SNHU to open the 2024 season.
- Molloy scored once in a man-up situation and also added a goal with a man-down.
- Molloy sent 37 shots on goal while the Penmen had 20.
- SNHU turned the ball over 19 times went 20-for-25 on clears while the Lions had 18 turnovers and were 17-for-22 on its clear attempts.
- Molloy had 42 grounds balls while the Penmen had 17 and Molloy went 21-1 on face-offs.
