  • The Penmen improve to 4-0 all-time against Mercy.  The teams had last met in Florida in 2018.
  • SNHU scored a run in the top of the first inning.  Junior Peyton Feldman (Foxboro, Mass.) reached on a hit and error, moving to third on a groundout by senior Mackenzie Bruggeman (Trumbull, Conn.).  DeMoura delivered the single that scored Feldman.
  • The Penmen took advantage of an error by Mercy to score the game's other two runs.  Lineman singled and sophomore Grace Jenkins (Groton, Conn.) laid down a bunt.   Mercy fielded the ball, but overthrew second base looking for a force and the ball carried all the way to center field allowing both Lineman and Jenkins to score.
  • In the circle, Colbert allowed only a lead-off single in the first and Donovan allowed two hits to earn the save while working the final three innings.
GAME 2:  Bridgeport 5, SNHU 2
